Party Animals and Fall Fun

Alaina has been the little party animal lately...helping her friends celebrate their birthdays and having her own little 'pretend' parties.  Last weekend Alaina helped one of her best friends celebrate her birthday!  Tarri and Alaina clicked right away at daycare...and have been inseparable since...so I let her go to Tarri's pool party.  The kids had a lot of fun...but I have to admit.  Alaina was pretty timid in the pool.  The other kids were SO comfortable!  I couldn't believe it...Alaina used to LOVE the pool.  I guess this is what we get for not taking her all summer!  We will definitely have to try to take her a few times this winter, so she can gain confidence and become more comfortable! I have enclosed a few pictures from the party.  Enjoy!

Last weekend we also made a quick trip to Yorkville to help Lauren celebrate her birthday...since we didn't make it to her party.  It was so much fun!  Jamie and Kyle were great hosts...and Lauren was so much fun to watch!  She was very gracious and played so good with Alaina and Landon!

On the way home we stopped by a pumpkin patch and let Alaina pick out a pumpkin.  She was (and still is) so proud of her pumpkin!  It was a great way to wrap up the weekend. As for this weekend....I think we are taking it easy and just catching up on things around here.  Yah!!!  Hope you all have a great weekend!

6 Month Stats

I know I already said this...but I can't believe that Landon is 6 months already!  His 6 month well child appointment went good.  I have enclosed some info for my records!

He weighed in at 17 pounds 12 ounces putting him in the 25th percentile for weight.
He measured 27.5 inches, putting him in the 75th percentile for height.
And his head measured 44.5 cm, putting him in the 75th percentile.

He also received the Pediarix, Prevnar and Rotavirus vaccines as well as the influenza vaccine.  He did great with the shots...but did develop a fever along with some fussiness the first day or two.  We talked about his long time suspected acid reflux...but are going to continue to try proceeding with out medication.  However, if he continues to have difficulty eating baby foods or his weight drops too much then we will try treating him for a little while to help him over the hump.  OH...and his formula was recalled due to ground up bug parts and bug larvae (nice...huh!)...so we went under an immediate formula switch and are hoping he does well.  He seems to be doing pretty good so far.  He is VERY happy and smiley...just a little spitty.

Landon still gets 5 bottles a day, loves his cereal, and hasn't tolerated baby food very well yet.  We will be trying the baby food again this weekend and hopefully he'll do better!  He is so social and so smiley...and just so active.  He crawls (army crawls) all over the place and is picking up speed! Daycare informed me that they have a hard time keeping track of him - as he is just all over the place!  He sits up pretty well...but does topple over when distracted! He still just has his two bottom teeth and chews on everything.  He LOVES his vibrating corn cob teether and anything that he can chew on!  He loves to play with Alaina and is always looking for her! He typicall takes one 3 hour nap...with an occasional short morning nap.  He goes to bed around 7ish and sleeps good!  Well...that is what Landon has been up to.  My little busy body!  As for me...I'm just trying to enjoy every minute with Landon & Alaina...especially on these long days (I worked 13 hours yesterday and will do 13 or 14 today too)!  They are growing up way to fast!!!

P.S. Will be posting some fun pictures from last weekend hopefully sometime soon!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

6 Months

6 Months!  How can it be?!?  I can not believe this little guy is 6 months old already!  He gives away smiles quite freely and I have to admit...they are contagious!  He loves Alaina more than anyone else; she can make him smile and/or laugh just by looking at him.  He has two teeth already, eats cereal daily and is getting ready to start veggies today. He is such a go getter and a little stinker =).   He hasn't been sick since his 4th of July hospitalization! Yahhh!  He definitely acts like he has allergies, but only time will tell!  He has his 6 month well child appointment next week so I'll post his stats then.

Here's a little picture of Landon at the hospital 6 months ago.

And here are a few pictures that Andy & I took this weekend of our 6 month old baby!  So much has changed!!!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Landon!  Love you SO much!

Alaina's 3 Year Pictures

When I stop and think about it, I can NOT believe that Alaina is going to be 3 years old in less than a month.  The time has gone by so fast!  She has been invited to several birthday parties recently and therefore...is SO excited for her birthday.  She's been having lots of 'birthday parties' with her babies. Haha.  When it gets closer to her birthday I'll post more about her and what her life is like at this age :).  But for now...here are a few of my favorite pictures that Andy & I took of her this weekend.

Good Morning!  Ahh...it's been a little while since I've blogged again!  Things have been kinda crazy here.  On top of our regular busy schedule I had a small surgery last week to remove a lump that the doctors have been watching since having Landon. I am HAPPY to say that pathology tests came back and it was just a cyst...noncancerous!  Woo hoo!  What a relief!  It was a good eye opener for us and a great reminder as to how we want to live our lifes.  I'll be going back next week to see the surgeon to ensure that everything is healing properly and then I think we'll be done with it.  God is so good! :)

New and exciting post to come with lots of pictures later today!

Silly Kids

This is what my kids were doing while I was getting ready for work the other night.  Landon was getting a little fussy so, Alaina offered to entertain him.  Not quite what I had in mind....

...but they were both entertained...and so was I! =)

P.S. This little angel has had his first tooth break through!
Woo hoo!

*I know this looks bad...but I was literally RIGHT by Landon when this picture was taken! So don't worry!
